Francis Wood
Chairman

Francis Wood has served as the key personnel at various prestigious international firms and academic institutions and is a pioneer in the world of finance and architecture. 

​

He is the first ever recipient of the Euromoney awards for a Nigerian and Sub-Sahara African bank. He is experienced at synthesizing challenging undertakings, devising prudent solutions, and executing to the highest standards for the most discriminating clients.

​

He is serving as the board chairman of Bayport Ghana and is also a founding partner of Pawo Ltd., the first of its kind food truck business in Accra, Ghana. He has been a senior advisor for Falcon Private Wealth Limited and a managing director for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, JHX Management Ltd., First City Monument Bank Plc. He has also served as an advisor in Credit Suisse, Odyssey Securities, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. 

Jonathan Ane
Chief executive officer

Jonathan Ane is a technology consultant with over 20 years’ experience in leading and designing technology projects in Ghana and West Africa for Public Sector, Banking and Telecommunication sectors.  

​

He is extremely proficient in managing large and medium scale technology projects from design to implementation, and is also skilled in Business Strategy, Project Management and Technology. 

​

He has experience in designing transformative projects for the Central Banks of Ghana and Liberia. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of 32 data models dataware house project which allows the client to analyze the economic planning such as expenditure and revenue for the central Government, financial assets, and domestic debt. These models also included Ghana’s external debts models, monetary analysis, statistics model, economic analysis, and policy model just to mention a few. 

​

He is adept at working on complex and large-scale projects, having worked also on a world bank sponsored project for the Ministry of Finance of Ghana for the implementation of a national budgeting and financial management system in the role of project director from the implementation team side. He possesses deep understanding and knowledge in aligning business and technology strategy for effective growth.

​

A chartered certified Accountant ACCA by profession and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School. He also holds certifications on Digital Transformation from Boston Consulting Group and University of Virginia, certificate in  Negotiation from the Yale School of Management and on Human Psychology from the University of Warwick. 

​

He is a member of the Warwick Global Mentoring team providing mentoring to MBA students at the Business School by offering professional support that guides their career decisions for the future.

Abena Ntrakwah-Mensah
Director

Abena Ntrakwah-Mensah is one of the leading corporate lawyers in Ghana and is a partner at Ntrakwah & Co.  

​

She is a member of the Bar of England and Wales as well as the Ghana Bar Association. She is an excellent litigation lawyer with experience in all Ghanaian courts and has led some of Ghana’s highest-profile corporate transactions. 

​

She has drafted various commercial agreements and advised a number of corporate clients in and outside the courtroom. She has represented clients in a number of arbitration proceedings, and done legal due diligence for several local and international clients. She handles complex legal transactions and has extensive experience as a commercial Kulana Board Memberslitigator.

​

Abena heads the firm’s Corporate, and Intellectual Property Department, and manages Corporate Profile Limited and Corporate Law Institute, the firm’s subsidiaries. She is also a member of Lincoln’s Inn and the chartered institute of Arbitrators.

Marilyn
Asante Osei

Company secretary

Marilyn is a lawyer by profession and an Associate at AB Lexmall & Associates. She has carved out a niche for herself as an astute compliance and transactional lawyer. 

​

Marilyn has provided legal advisory and company secretarial services to many companies including two special sub-committees for the restructuring of two subsidiaries of a company with a bottom line in excess of a billion Ghana Cedis. 

​

Marilyn has also been involved in a number of high-level due diligence work including one in support of an M&A for a commercial agriculture company. She was part of the team that provided legal advisory services in the procurement of the construction of a dedicated solar power project for a leading commercial agriculture company. She has a lot of experience in setting up companies in Ghana and ensuring their regulatory compliance.

Marilyn obtained her Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Ghana. She is a member of the Ghana Bar and is licensed as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She has also obtained certification from the Ghana Stock Exchange.
